Biweekly market trend report Jun.2022 (Part B)

I. Global Market Size

1. IDC's latest report predicts that in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Northeast Asia and India) satellite broadband service market, the capacity from digital television broadcasting, consumer internet access and wholesale enterprise bandwidth will increase from 127.2gbps in 2022 to 335.6 Gbps in 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of 23.9%; The demand for enterprise satellite capacity will be driven by a variety of use cases, including disaster emergency management, remote urban connections, remote schools, mining, oil and gas industries, etc. Analysts said that the emergence of large low earth orbit (LEO) and medium earth orbit (MEO) constellations and the next generation geosynchronous orbit (GEO) ultra high throughput satellites (vHTS) in Southeast Asia and Oceania will further reduce the price of satellite communications. Based on the number of enterprise service operations (SIOs), the number of SIOs will increase by 10% from 29370 in 2021 to 47908 in 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of 10.3%. In terms of corporate satellite bandwidth revenue, IDC expects revenue to grow from $253.2 million to $427.1 million, with a CAGR of 11.0%. The growth rate of enterprise revenue will exceed the number of enterprise SIOs, because the data usage of each SiO will increase. Another important trend is the allocation of market share among different end-user equipment / terminal bands, including L-band (1-2 GHz), S-band (2-4 GHz), C-band (4-8 GHz), Ku band (12-18 GHz) and Ka band (27-40 GHz). The growth of sales capacity will be mainly concentrated in Ku band (27.1%) and Ka band (24.1%);

Ⅱ. Space-Ground Integrated Network

1. South Korean mobile operator LG u+ cooperates with a national research university to optimize the structure of LEO satellite network using quantum computers for 6G communication

2. On Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) authorized Elon Musk's SpaceX company to use its "star chain" Satellite Internet on mobile vehicles, allowing the company to expand the project to commercial aircraft, ships and trucks

. Global Backbone Network

1. The launching and implementation scheme demonstration meeting of the national key research and development plan led by ZTE and the key project of multimodal network and communication "Research on Key Technologies of ultra low latency and ultra large connection passive optical networks for industrial Internet applications" was successfully held online

2. China Mobile invested 4.143 billion to "host" Qiming Xingchen, directly holding 23.08% of the shares of Qiming Xingchen

IV. Products & Applications

1. China Mobile, together with ZTE and other industrial partners, held a press conference with the theme of "spn2.0 empowering thousands of industries, slicing special lines to build a digital intelligence future". At the conference, the "spn2.0 technology white paper" (hereinafter referred to as the "white paper") and SPN slicing special line series products were officially released, committed to building SPN into a new generation of integrated business carrier network that is "efficient, integrated, intelligent and low-carbon", Provide theoretical basis and product support for accelerating the digital transformation process of government and enterprise industries

2. Alibaba announced the establishment of Lingyang intelligent service company, a subsidiary focusing on enterprise digital intelligence services. Lingyang undertakes the important task of transforming the digital capabilities accumulated by Alibaba Group in consumption and other fields into intelligent products and services, and hopes to form a DAAS service for thousands of industries through leading technical capacity-building. At present, Lingyang has five product matrices: analysis cloud, marketing cloud, production and marketing cloud, customer service cloud and development cloud, including 11 core products such as DataphinBizphinQuick AudienceQuick BIbusiness consultant and business consultant;

3. China Mobile Communications Group Zhejiang Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhejiang Mobile") and ZTE completed the pilot of the first "cdn+cmnet" Network Collaboration Scheme in China, which fully verified the commerciality of the "cdn+cmnet" scheme in global load balancing scheduling, cmnet network controller and CDN scheduling system docking, network quality scheduling, video content distribution and end-to-end playback;

4. At the "2022 deterministic network technology and Application Innovation Summit", ZTE proposed an enhanced deterministic network (EDN) solution. The scheme architecture is based on three dimensions: resource certainty, routing certainty and time certainty, and systematically realizes the technological innovation of control surface and forwarding surface in the field of bearer network. At the same time, ZTE carried out the development of EDN prototype, and completed the technical test in the current network with different sizes of deterministic networks, which verified the applicability of EDN in the future large-scale deterministic network networking, and provided a feasible way for the large-scale development of 5G ToB;

5. Shanghai Telecom opened the world's first VoWiFi first call, marking that China telecom’s VoWiFi has been ready for trial commercial use;
