On November 11, 2025, local time, the air in the Port of Morébaya in the Forécariah Prefecture of Guinea was filled with a festive atmosphere. The commissioning ceremony for the Simandou Iron Ore Project was grandly held here, with dignitaries from multiple countries, including Guinean President Doumbouya and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Special Representative, Vice Premier Liu Guozhong, witnessing this historic moment alongside project partners.
The Simandou Iron Ore Mine, hailed as having the "best quality and largest scale globally," has officially commenced production, marking a new phase in the development of African mineral resources. This massive project, with a total investment exceeding $20 billion, encompasses systemic engineering across the mine, railway, and port.
Amidst the cheers of the attending guests, engineers from LiveCom Limited smiled with satisfaction in the control room thousands of miles away. It is the intelligent system they built that has given this modern mine its sensitive "nerve center."

01 Rise of a World-Class Mine, Infrastructure Construction Leads the Way
The Simandou Iron Ore Deposit, located in southeastern Guinea, is the world's largest untapped iron ore reserve with the highest quality, boasting an average grade exceeding 65%. The project's proven reserves are approximately 4.4 billion tons, and full production capacity will reach 120 million tons annually, significantly increasing the proportion of iron ore supplied under China's equity rights.
This project is a joint development by the Government of Guinea, China Baowu Steel Group, Rio Tinto Group, Aluminum Corporation of China, and the Winning Consortium Simandou. This commissioning delivers over 600 kilometers of newly constructed trans-Guinean multi-purpose railway and supporting port facilities.
As a crucial constructor of the mine's digitalization system, LiveCom Limited provided key information infrastructure support for this world-class mining project, leveraging its professional capability in global communication network integration.

02 LiveCom Powers the Intelligent Communication Foundation
In August 2024, LiveCom's subsidiary registered in Guinea was formally established. Relying on the company's technical accumulation in communication and digitalization, as well as its local construction and O&M (Operation and Maintenance) service capabilities, LiveCom had the honor of participating in the Simandou Iron Ore Project's digitalization build-out, providing high-speed, stable internet access and a series of value-added information services for the project camps.
The complex natural environment of Simandou - characterized by primal rainforests, mountainous mining areas, equatorial heat, and muddy downpours - posed extremely high demands on communication infrastructure. The LiveCom team was stationed on the front lines, overcoming harsh natural conditions and technical challenges.

Starting in October 2024, accompanying the end of the rainy season, the Simandou Project began its major infrastructure phase. The LiveCom team officially entered the Simandou mining area to fully undertake the construction of the mine's digitalization system. The project involves backbone external network access, mine fundamental communication infrastructure construction, LTE private network establishment, and data center construction, covering digitalization and intelligence engineering across production, office, living, and security sectors.
Adhering to the business philosophy of serving the "Belt and Road" Initiative, LiveCom Technology fully utilized the backbone data network and infrastructure established globally to provide high-quality cross-border communication services for Chinese-funded enterprises. This system acts like the human body's nervous system, organically connecting all parts of the mine, enabling high-speed data circulation and intelligent resource scheduling.

03 Partnering with BaoSignt Smart Mine to Create an Intelligent Benchmark

In the construction of the Simandou Iron Ore Mine's digitalization system, LiveCom Technology engaged in deep cooperation with Shanghai BaoSignt.
BaoSignt, a subsidiary of the Baowu Group, is a professional smart mine technology company specializing in the intelligent construction of ferrous metal mines, possessing deep technical accumulation in industrial internet, big data, artificial intelligence, and intelligent equipment.
In this collaboration, LiveCom's expertise in global communication network integration, cross-border data transmission, and localized O&M services formed a powerful alliance with BaoSignt 's comprehensive smart mine solutions. Together, they built an integrated digitalization project that combines communication, security, and intelligence.
The highly reliable network channel constructed by LiveCom provides the foundational support for BaoSignt’s intelligent decision-making platform. This enables comprehensive sensing and collaborative control of the mine’s production equipment, safety environment, personnel, and materials, collectively creating the smart mine's "nervous system."
This system not only meets the safety management needs of mine production and operations but also achieves optimized resource allocation and increased production efficiency, assisting the world-class Simandou Mine in realizing its digital transformation and intelligent development.
Today, the Simandou mining area remains busy. Heavy trucks rumble between the mines, while the intelligent system built by LiveCom Limited silently coordinates every detail of this vast complex. As the first batch of iron ore is transported via the new railway to the Port of Morébaya, LiveCom's communication network simultaneously transmits real-time data to all corners of the world.
In the future, LiveCom Limited will continue to uphold the corporate philosophy of "Innovation, Collaboration, and Win-Win," continuously promoting the innovation and application of communication technology, and contributing Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to global digitalization construction.
