As a key materials support institution in the industry, the Material Supply Center of a petroleum group engages in overseas procurement across various complex operational regions around the world. A crucial strategic initiative is the digital transformation of the entire procurement process to strengthen its global business framework.
When facing challenges in overseas procurement, such as strict compliance requirements, lengthy process chains, and intricate supplier management, our team immersed themselves in the customer’s business scenarios from the project's inception. We facilitated multiple rounds of collaborative sessions with the project team for a geophysical exploration initiative in the Middle East. This not only helped identify the technical bottlenecks in the existing supply chain management system but also led to the design of a customized system upgrade and module development plan tailored to the specific needs of overseas procurement.
During project execution, we embraced a "Customer First" service philosophy, forming a dedicated task force of core members. Faced with a tight project timeline and complex technical challenges, we proactively advanced our service engagement and maintained daily, synchronized communication with the customer. We continually refined the technical solutions to address critical needs, including compliance adjustments for specialized overseas procurement processes and managing suppliers across multiple regions.
To ensure the system's stability and usability post-launch, we willingly put in extra hours to resolve technical issues, promptly addressed the customer's optimization suggestions, and effectively ensured the rapid realization of project value through swift problem-solving. Ultimately, through iterative enhancements of the basic supply chain management system, the supplier management module, and the creation of a new dedicated module for overseas procurement, LiveCom successfully established a highly efficient digital procurement platform for the Material Supply Center. This platform encompasses the entire process—from "Planning, Scheme, Implementation, Result, Supplier Management, to Contract & Order"—significantly enhancing the operational efficiency and risk control capabilities of the customer’s overseas procurement operations.
